In Social Studies, each student researched a Canadian province or territory.
Using the results of their research, they had to create a Google Doodle including the following details:
-the flag
-the flower 
-the population
-a symbol representing the capital city
-a symbol representing a tourist attraction
-a symbol representing an interesting fact
-any additional symbol

In English Language Arts, we are reading and discussing biographies!

Math Playground!

In Math, students got the chance to work through different hands-on problem solving stations
 thanks to Mme Kirwan (the Numeracy Itinerant Resource Teacher).
Some stations were quite challenging, but students worked hard to persevere!
Well done everyone!

Speechtastic!

Students are working on preparing their next Speechtastic speech.

This time they will be presenting a persuasive speech, 2-5 minutes long. 

Presentations are Friday, April 29th.

CFOO (Le Club Fabuleux des Orateurs et Oratrices)! 

Remember - there are fifteen different presentations, separated into three categories: Research, Opinion and Creativity.
Each student chooses one and prepares their short oral presentation, fulfilling all of the criteria (listed on the pages they have in their binder).
Students should also keep in mind eye contact, volume and expression during their presentation.
The presentation could take on various forms: a speech, a poster, a puppet play, etc. - the possibilities are endless!

The next CFOO will take place on Friday, April 15th. 

From the French Department...

In Français, students are preparing a Reader's Theatre play in groups.

In Science...

By reading articles and watching youtube videos, students learned about the technological innovations that make it possible for an astronaut to breathe, eat, sleep and use the bathroom in space.
